Uinversal Children's Day

Begin: 20.09.2008 10:00 hour
End: 19:00 hour

The great children and family festival looks back on a long tradition. The origins of the festival date from 1954 when the United Nations General Assembly approved the establishing of a "Universal Children’s Day".
The Science Center Ferrodrom® and its iron laboratory, enormous transport room, gigantic chute in the foundry park, wind machine and many other features attract children, as well as adults, by presenting technological problems in a striking and playful way inviting them to the absorbing experience of finding the solutions.
In the blast furnace office the audio book hero “Lily Luna” invites her listeners to take a fantastic trip with her through the World Cultural Heritage Site Völklinger Ironworks.
At 2pm and 4pm it really goes up and down – to a height of 42 metres. The World Cultural Heritage Site Völklinger Ironworks offers all children special guided tours through the iron world of the World Cultural Heritage Site Völklinger Ironworks.
