“Young People Day" at the Völklingen Ironworks

There has been much activity at the World Heritage Site Völklinger Hütte over the winter. People of all ages are invited to join us at the World Heritage Site Völklinger Hütte on Sunday, 17^th of April 2011 for our fantastic “Young People Day”. Entrance for young people up to 18 is free, and visitors are welcome to explore the 600,000 m²
of the site. There will be plenty to discover at the Young People Day:

• The introducy show in the sintering plant takes visitors on a time journey trough the history of the Völklinger Hütte

• ScienceCenter Ferrodrom® with more then100 hands-on objects and demonstration stations
• Large slide and wind machines in the ironworks park
• The Paradis - World Cultural Heritage Völklinger Hütte 12 / 3 p.m.          
• “The Celts – Druids. Princes. Warriors”
• Free ironworks tours meet at ticket office,11 a.m. / 2 p.m. / 3 p.m
•  “Female labour in the ironworks” 11a.m. / 2 p.m.
• Child entertainment “Celts Ralley” 12/ 3 p.m.  

• Urban Art Graffiti 21, guided tours, 1 a.m. / 3 p.m.
• 5 p.m. Official opening of the exhibition Urban Art - Graffity 21
• from 5 p.m. Urban Art - Opening party of the exhibition “Urban Art – Graffiti21”; Hip – Hop concert with international DJs
