Since November 2000, the Völklinger Hütte World Cultural Heritage Site and Saarland Radio have been working jointly on the comprehensive cooperation project “Living with the Völklinger Hütte: reports from contemporary eyewitnesses”.

In extensive interviews, contemporary eyewitnesses tell of their lives with and in the Völklinger Hütte. The fascinating memoirs and life histories of these contemporary eyewitnesses have spawned a unique “oral history” project.
