Over 40 years ago Helmut R. Schulze visited Egypt for the first time. His fascination for the country was roused. Through 150 remarkably impressive photographs the exhibition "Egypt – a fascinating journey through time" tells compellingly of the land and its people. They offer a journey through contemporary and historical Egypt. A major emphasis has been placed on Pharaonic culture and its historical locations, Luxor, Gizeh, Abu Simpel and the Valley of the Kings with its famous monumental burial sites.

Helmut R. Schulze is a renowned German photojournalist. For many years he accompanied Egyptian President Anwar-el-Sadat. Over numerous journeys by jeep, rail and ship he travelled all points of the compass in Egypt.
