Accompanying the exhibition "Inca - Gold. Power. The World Cultural Heritage Site Völklinger Hütte shows photographic works taken by Helmut R. Schulze on his travels in Peru, Chile or Bolivia. In the former land of the Incas, Helmut R. Schulze sets out to search for traces of this lost culture.
The pictures of the exhibition "Inca-Land - Reisefotografien von Helmut R. Schulze" show the different landscapes of mountains and sea or the famous "Nazca Lines". They show village and metropolitan life, festivities and everyday life. Helmut R. Schulze was particularly impressed by the specific light in the region, which makes the peculiarities and contours of the landscape stand out particularly clearly and vividly. Above all, however, his photographs are an encounter with people - the descendants of Moche, Chimú and Inka. A total of 15 large-format photographs can be seen in the Möllerhalle of the World Cultural Heritage Site Völklinger Hütte.
